CPI (M) losing ideology, resorting to violence in Kerala: Kummanam Rajasekharan

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 16 :  The CPI (M) has lost its ideological relevance in the present political scenario and  is indulging in violence to capture power in Kerala through undemocratic means, BJP tate unit President Kummanam Rajasekharan said here today.

Addressing a sit-in-dharna in front of the state Secretariat demanding the arrest of CPI (M) men who unleashed violence against the BJP workers who were staging a peaceful protest against the City Master Plan at Kattayikkonam,  Mr Rajasekharan said the CPI (M) should introspect what they have gained from political murders and violence in the State.

The Congress party and other constituents of both the LDF and the UDF should make their stand on the CPI (M) sponsored murderous politics in Kerala, he said, adding, there should be an end to political violence in the State and the CPI(M) should tell the public that what kind of revolution they put forward to the welfare of the common people by killing labourers and common people.

The CPI(M) leaders have become the apostles of violence of politics. The upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala will see a direct fight between two ideologies that are ‘Politics of Peace’ and ‘Politics of Violence,’ he claimed.

Alleging that the Congress-led UDF in Kerala is patronising the violence of LDF for political gain, he said “You cant expect nothing from a party like CPI (M), which had destroyed their own leader Comrade Krishna Pillai’s statue recently in Alappuzha, showing their intolerance towards their own leader.
