Jisha’s mother makes serious accusations against MLA, Ward member

Perumbavoor: Jisha’s mother made serious accusations against CPM,MLA Saju Paul and the local ward member when she spoke to Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan and Innocent MP here on Wednesday

Achuthanandan and Innocent visited Jisha’s mother Rajeshwari at the taluk hospital. She told Achuthanndan that the MLA and ward member were not helpful to the family and alleged that they could even be involved in the case

The social media also took up the issue, which further turned up the heat on the CPM MLA. In fact, the grieving mother’s comments turned the tables on the CPM by turning the spotlight away from the CPM protest against the CM and the Home Minister.

Mean while,BJP president Amit Shah has set up a three-member committee to look into the incidents of atrocities against Dalit women in Kerala and also he visited Jisha’s mother Rajeshwari at the taluk hospital today

Team members and MPs Arjun Ram Meghwal, Meenakshi Lekhi and Udit Raj will visit the state and meet family members of the victims.

“Concerned with the growing atrocities on Dalit women in Kerala, Amit Shah has constituted a three-member committee to visit Perumbavoor (Ernakulam) and Varkala (Thiruananthpuram),” BJP general secretary Arun Singh said in a statement. The team will submit its report to Shah.

On April 28, a 27-year-old woman was murdered in Perumbavoor in Ernakulam. Her body was found badly mutilated. The brutality has led to comparisons with the 2012 gang-rape in Delhi that shook the nation.

Jisha was raped and brutally murdered at her residence here last week. The police have failed to identify the prime suspect so far. Days later, another young student was allegedly gang-raped and dumped at Varkala near  Thiruvananthapuram.
