RSS ABPS meet begins at Nagaur; RSS Annual report says Shakha increases upto 56859 at 36867 places

RSS Sah Sarkaryavah (Joint General Secretary) Dr. Krishnagopal ji during the press meet today informed about the consistent growth of RSS in last 4 years of time, at the ABPS venue in Nagaur, Rajasthan. As per the statistics, from 2012 to 2015 the growth in number of Shakhas was 10143 and 5181 places. The trend has continued this year also. In 2012 total number of shakhas was 40922 and has increased to 51135 in 2015. The current figure outpaced the old numbers and has reached 56859 in 2016, ie increase of 5524 shakhas in one single year.

The growth of Milans (weekly gathering) has also increased from 12847 to 13784 which shows an increase of 937 numbers. 65.6% of the shakhas are having students as swayamsevaks where 25% population of shakhas are young people and working class/ business men. Students, young people, employees and business men below 40 years constitutes 91% where as aged people above 40 years comes only to 9%. 5175 Shakhas in the country are run by Swayamsevaks aged more than 40 years which is only 9% out of the total number of shakhas.


As per the figures, out of 840 districts in India (Sangh classification) RSS has reached 820 districts which covers 95% and out of 6100 blocks, the reach is 90%, ie 5490 out of the total number. Out of 2594 nagars, RSS marked its presence of work at 2406 places.




With regard to the training camps conducted across the country for giving effective training to the karyakarthas and swayamsevaks, there were 83 Sangh Shiksha Vargs last year. 17835 Karyakarthas have attended the Pratham Varsh Sangh Shiksha Varg and  3715 Karyakarthas attented  the Dwitheeya Varsh Sangha Shiksha Varg. Thritheeya Sangh Shiksha Varg which is conducted only at Nagpur had 875 Karyakarthas last year.  The basic training camp of 7 days which is known as Prathamika Shikshan Varg was conducted at 961 places and attended by 112520 swayamsevaks from all the corners of the country. The growth figures and plans for the coming year’s working will be discussed in detail in the ongoing ABPS after analysis of the present scenario in respective states.


Dr. Krishnagopalji also said that, ABPS will discuss about the plan for  celebrating   the birth centenary of Swargeeya Bala Saheb ji Deoras, 3rd Sarsanghachalak of RSS, Deen Dayal Upadhyay ji , and  125th jayanthi celebrations of Dr. BR Ambedar, across the country by spreading the message of equality, Deendayal ji’s Vision of Anthyoday  (Prosperity of the last man standing) , work to eliminate caste based discrimination for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden etc.
ABPS will be held for 3 days from today and will conclude on Sunday.
