Gudilova, Andhra Pradesh (18 August, 2026).

The Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak, bringing together key functionaries of 32 organisations inspired by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and working in diverse spheres of society, will be held for three days from August 19 to 21 at Vignan Vihar, Gudilova.

Speaking at a press briefing held at Vignan Vihar on Tuesday ahead of the meeting, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS Sunil Ambekar ji, stated that the Baithak will commence at 9:00 a.m. on August 19 and conclude on the evening of August 21.  Param Pujaniya Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Ji Bhagwat and Mananiya Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji will be prominently present at the Baithak. RSS Sah Sarkaryavahs, heads of various functional departments and other senior functionaries will also participate. The Samanvay Baithak is neither an executive meeting nor a decision-making forum. Its primary purpose is to provide a platform for various organisations to share information about their activities, experiences over the past year, achievements, challenges and developments taking place in different spheres of society.

The organisations will also share details of special initiatives undertaken during the year, their outcomes and the impact of various developments on public life. Discussions will focus on how mutual coordination among the organisations can be further strengthened and how initiatives for the larger welfare of society can be taken forward collectively.

National presidents, general secretaries and organising secretaries of Sangh-inspired organisations such as the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bharatiya Janata Party, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and Rashtra Sevika Samiti, among others, will attend the Baithak. A total of 253 representatives from various organisations across the country, including 49 women, are expected to participate. Including senior RSS functionaries, the overall participation is expected to be around 327 representatives. These organisations have been continuously engaged in their respective fields in activities related to public welfare, creating social awareness, bringing about systemic improvements and addressing people’s problems. They study issues concerning their respective sectors and, whenever necessary, engage in dialogue with society as well as governments in pursuit of solutions. During the Baithak, the organisations will share their activities, experiences, achievements and challenges in their respective fields. Discussions will also focus on strengthening coordination among all the organisations and exploring how they can collectively advance initiatives in the larger interest of society.

Key Issues for Discussion

The three-day Baithak will deliberate extensively on the prevailing situation in the country, social developments and several important contemporary issues. Demographic Changes: Discussions will focus on the demographic changes taking place in the country, concerns arising from them and possible measures to address those concerns. Youth and Drug Abuse: The growing problem of drug abuse among youth, its adverse impact, measures for de-addiction and coordinated initiatives that various organisations can undertake to create awareness among young people will also be discussed. Special discussions will be held on the Panch Parivartan initiatives emphasised during the RSS centenary year.

The five areas — Samajik Samrasta (social harmony), Kutumb Prabodhan (family enlightenment), environmental protection, awakening of ‘Swa’ (selfhood) and civic duties — have been taken up through various initiatives by RSS swayamsevaks and workers of different organisations. As the centenary year draws towards completion, the Baithak will discuss how these themes can be carried forward more extensively in society and what role different organisations can play in advancing them. The Baithak will also deliberate on the fundamental question: What should our model of development be, and what should be our concept of development? Development should not be viewed merely in economic terms, as it encompasses several dimensions, including social, cultural and environmental aspects. Keeping this broader perspective in view, discussions will be held on the concept of development. These deliberations are expected to help various organisations formulate appropriate plans and initiatives in their respective fields in the coming period.

Growing Interest Among Youth

It was stated that during the RSS centenary year, interest in the RSS has grown significantly across society, particularly among young people who are keen to associate themselves with Sangh activities.

Through the ‘Join RSS’ online platform, 55,423 people registered between January and July 2025, while 1,23,287 people expressed interest in associating with the RSS during the corresponding period in 2026. Similarly, 9,718 people registered in July 2025, compared with 24,086 in July 2026. Of those expressing interest, more than 65% are below the age of 30, while nearly 85% are below the age of 40.

These figures, it was stated, indicate the growing interest in the positive social initiatives undertaken by the RSS, particularly among the younger generation. The press briefing was attended by Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Sah Sanghchalak Doosi Ramakrishna Ji, Sah Prachar Pramukh Pradeep Joshi Ji.
