Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is not like any other temple, it is a Rashtra Mandir

Chennai. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has launched a Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan nationwide to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Kanchi Sankara Mutt has placed a collection box in front of Mutt for donations and HH Shri Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal had given a call to all devotees to donate liberally as a tribute to Lord Ram. A function was organized in holy town Kanchipuram for handing over the collections of Rs. 6 crore from the devotees, merchants, businessmen and others to the trustee and treasurer of SRJB movement Govind Giri Maharaj. A Mutt devotee from Thanjavur MVJ Mohan has donated Rs.5 crore for the construction of Ram Mandir.

Presiding on the occasion, Honourable TN Governor Banwarilal Purohit highlighted the holy connection between Kanchipuram and Ayodhya. In Shree Lalitopakhyanam, it is said that as per instructions from Kuladevata Thirupurasundari, in his dream, Dasharatha came to Kanchi and stayed for seven days and prayed Nagari Kamakshi Amman for begetting his son. After returning to Ayodhya, he performed Putra Kameshti Yagna and was blessed by four sons. Such is the holy connection of Kanchi and Ayodhya, he said.

Kanchi Paramacharya also blessed Samagri and sent a beautiful silk ceremonial umbrella to Prabhu Ram in 1986. Pandits were also sent by Paramacharyar who stayed in Ayodhya for a week and recited both Tulsi Ramayan and Valmiki Ramayan.

There are four things which characterizes Lord Rama. He is Purva Bhaashi, Mitha Bhaashi, Srutha Bhaashi and Satya Bhaashi. Lord Ram used to think well before any action, speaks softly, always speaks with a smile on his face and speak only truth. We should follow the footsteps of Lord Ram.

TN Governor also highlighted Interest and initiative taken by Kanchi Swamigal in Ram Mandir and bringing all the religious heads under one platform. He also appreciated the present Bala Periavaa who had given a call to all devotees to donate liberally and tribute to Ram Mandir.

Pejawar Mutt HH Vishwa Prasanna Teertha Swamigal said that we have now a holy chance to contribute to Rama Janmabhoomi Vimochana Sangramam, Ayodhya being the one of the saptha kshetras, we all should unite for this noble cause and this is our service to our Motherland.

Govind Giri Ji Maharaj, member of the trustee and treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhooumi Teertha Kshetra said that it is the Ram Prerna that is guiding him towards construction of Ram Mandir. Started his work from Rashtrapati Bhavan, he said Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is not like any other temple, it is a Rashtra Mandir connecting all. Like Ram-Setu, the Setu bandhan, as Ram connects with Rishi, Vanaras, and even Rakshasas, this temple will unite all. We also connect Ram bhakts from our neighbourhood Asiatic countries to name – Tibet, Burma, Thailand, Sikkim, Nepal, Brahmadesh, Srilanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan and make them feel that they belong to Bharat. Ayodhya is the cultural capital of the world, said Maharaj.

His Holiness Shri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt in his anugraha speech said, “This is a golden day to be remembered, feel proud of, where thousands of people have sacrificed their lives, time and energy towards this cause. This place which connects Ayodhya in various ways had been a punyabhumi where various thoughts, discussions have held to solve the issue of Ram Mandir. Kanchipuram had been in forefront from 1980s where various initiatives have taken care of. His Holiness Chandrasekhara Swamigal had sent Chatram and Samaram to Ayodhya being the first respect to Lord Rama. Tulsi Ramayan and Valmiki Ramayan was recited then during Shila Pujan.

Elaborating the connection between Kanchipuram and Ayodhya, His Holiness Shri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal said that in Panchabhoota, Shiva’s Pritvi Sthal is Kanchipuram and Shakthi’s Pritvi Sthal is Ayodhya. This Shiva-Sakthi Kshetra have to do a lot of work connectedly.

Even during pandemic period, VHP and parivar organizations were working for Ram Mandir and uniting good hearts. Praising Rama’s character on parakrama, viveka and character, Swami Ji also insisted that Bakthi is the guidance to achieve this. Bakthi bhaav connects people and God. Rama’s atma Sakthi will lead us.

Swami Ji also appreciated the individual initiative of Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit who also contributed his thoughts for Ram Mandir. He also appealed the devotees to donate generously for the good cause.
