President of Chitara Panchayat, Kollam district, Kerala, has issued a circular to the teachers and students instructing them to participate in the Proclamation Procession in connection with the much publicised Nava Kerala Sadas of Kerala’s Pinarayi Government. This is another move to take the students to the streets despite the strict High Court order against it. The circular of Panchayat President M.S. Murali, dated December 15, instructs the teachers, students, non-teaching staff, NCC cadets, workers of National Service Scheme (NSS) and volunteers of Junior Red Cross (JRC) and Student Police Cadet (SPC) and Parent-Teachers Associations to participate in the proclamation march organised as a curtain raiser for the Nava Kerala Sadas. Proclamation Procession is scheduled to take place on December 16. Circular has been sent to all schools in the jurisdiction. The bosses of institutions, with their own vehicles, are asked to arrange transport for the employees and students to participate in the programme.
This is another example of the misuse of power for the politically motivated programme of the LDF. Again, it is contradictory to the letter and spirit of the High Court order not to participate school children in Nava Kerala Sadas. It is a glaring example of how the communists treat the judicial order.
