CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury stated that CPM will join hands with Congress in West Bengal and Assam and with DMK in Tamil Nadu.
Answering to the questions on the arrest of Kerala CPM secretary’s son’s arrest by ED, Yechuri said that Bineesh should be punished if he has committed any mistake.
“Let the Investigation in the case continue,” Yechury said while adding that he agreed with the position taken by Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on the issue. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had stated that Bineesh should be punished if he had committed any crime. Yechury also stated that Bineesh is not a member of CPM.
He also said that culprits in the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case should be punished. Yechury also reacted to the arrest of M Sivasankar, who was the principal secretary of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Yechury stated that Sivasankar is an IAS officer and that he should also be punished if he has done any mistakes.
However, Yechury claimed that the state government is being targeted using central agencies and that this is evident in many states. The same thing is repeated in Kerala as well, he added.
