Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar told in Kozhikode that both Congress and CPM do extend red carpet welcome to terrorism and terrorist outfits. Minister was inaugurating a mammoth BJP rally , on December 2, against the policies of ruling CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in favour of terrorism. He alleged that both Fronts keep on encouraging religious terrorism. Youths get more job opportunities in neighbouring states whereas none comes to Kerala to invest. A widespread impression has been created that terrorism is being encouraged here. Both Fronts are not ready to call the terrorists ‘terrorists’. Congress, CPM and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) call Hamas ‘freedom fighters’. Hamas’s representative participated in programme in Kerala. Those who propagate that Constitution provides freedom of expression should know the Constitutional tenet that freedom of expression does have some limitations. Those who struggle to block the progress and development of the country do support terrorism. It is common people who fall easy prey to terrorism and turn victims of it. Ministers and leaders are always safe. Union government has been trying its level best, since it took over nine years ago, to destroy the terrorism at the source itself. BJP national executive member P.K. Krishnadas delivered the keynote address. Leaders of state BJP and NDA constituents spoke too.
The rally was attended by thousands of people. It was a befitting reply to CPM, Congress and IUML who have been carrying out pro-Palestine rallies which are, in effect, pro-Hamas terrorists.
Meanwhile, BJP state president K. Surendran alleged that Kerala government is looting the people even during the much publicised Nava Kerala Sadas. Government has sent seizure (confiscation) notice to people who had registered the title deeds of their land back in 1986. The reason raised is the deflation of the price manipulated during registration. This is day light robbery, because, government had not fixed market value those days. Then what is the meaning of alleging deflation. Even now the market value has been fixed only for 30% of the land. It is illegal to tax penalty for the happenings took place 37 years before. BJP would fight it legally and politically.
Surendran added that government cheats the poor by stopping the distribution of widow pension. Government asked the widows to submit the income certificate and the certificate stating that they are not remarried. Even those who submitted such certificates do not get pension. Around 30,000 widows are denied widow pension.
