‘Arvindam National Short Film Festival’, one of Bharat’s best prize money awarded short film festival, has invited entries. Entries can be submitted from November 1, 2024.
The National Short Film Festival will be held in Kottayam on March 14, 15 and 16 next year.
Thumb Film Society, the organizers, said National Short Film Festival has been named as ‘Aravindam’, since it is organized in memory of G. Aravindan, the late great director who got several national awards.
The awards are divided into two categories, the General category with a prize money of Rs 1 lakh each and a memorable memento, and the Campus category with a prize money of half a lakh each with memento.
Awards will be given for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Director, Cinematography, and for Screenplay, both in General Category and Campus Category. There will also be an award for the best film based on the given topics.
Films selected for screening at Aravindam Short Film Festival will have a cash award of 10,000 rupees and a momento.
Short films of less than thirty minutes, completed, released or unreleased between January 1 and December 30, 2024, can be submitted.
Entries can be submitted on the website www.filmfreeway.com from November 1, the organizers said.
