Kasargod : The Communist Party of India (Marxist) is in power in Kerala and its leaders are constantly being accused of various kinds. In the latest development, the CBI on Friday filed a chargesheet against 24 people, including former Communist Party MLA, in connection with the murder of Congress workers Kripesh and Sarat Lal in Kasaragod’s inner village, in which 5 people are Communist Party workers.

The names of former Communist Party MLA KV Kunhiraman are also included in the chargesheet before the Ernakulam Court.

In fact, on 17 February 2019, Congress workers were murdered in Periya village of Kasaragod, after which the CBI took over the investigation from Kerala Police on 23 October, 2019 on the instructions of the Kerala High Court.

According to the information revealed so far, due to political enmity, the Communist leader along with other workers had brutally killed the Congress workers.

A CBI spokesperson said that the crime branch of the state police had filed its charge sheet in this case on May 20, 2019, in which only 14 people were made accused, after which the victim’s family moved the High Court expressing their displeasure over it. After which the CBI handled the case.

It also came to the notice that the communist government of the state strongly opposed the investigation by the CBI first in the High Court and then in the Supreme Court, but the apex court allowed the CBI to continue with its investigation, after which the truth has come to the fore.
