Thodupuzha : The police constable, who leaked the details of RSS Workers from the official data base of the Kerala Police, to the popular front was dismissed form service. P.K. Anas, a civil police officer attached to Karimannoor Police Station was dismissed. The dismissal order, issued by R. Karuppa Swamy, District Police Chief, was served directly to the police man. He was served with a notice on last 28, seeking to show cause as to why he should not be dismissed from service. The department found his reply to that notice as unsustainable and he was dismissed.
The Kerala Government, initially had ignored the report that sleeper sells of popular front are functioning in Kerala Police. It was popped up to news, when a whatsapp group by name green light was formed for propagation of separatist ideas. The officer had circulated the details about more than 135 RSS BJP leaders. The Popular front workers had assaulted a KSRTC conductor, on 3rd December, alleging that he had shared a facebook post against the prophet. The leakage of details came to the fore, when the accused in that case were arrested and interrogated. The details were transmitted to one Plamootil Shanavas, a native of Vannapuram.
On the basis of the report of DYSP Sadan, the Anas was transferred to District Police Head Quarters on December 22nd. Later he was suspended. On enquiry, around 15 police officers, who had allegiance to popular front, were transferred.
