New Delhi: The Indian Air Force have released proofs that shows that Pakistan had indeed used F-16s in its attack on February 27 on Indian Military installations. Moreover, it has been proven beyond doubt that Indian MiG-21 Bison flown by Abhinandan had shot down a F-16.
Air Vice Marshall R. G. K. Kapoor said, ” The IAF has irrefutable evidence of not only the fact that F-16 was used by PAF on 27 February but also that an IAF MiG21 Bison shot down a PAF F-16.”
The Air Vice Marshall explained that the electronic emissions of the aircraft picked up by electronic intelligence intercepts from AWACS and radio transcripts show F-16s in the area directly in front of MiG-21 Bison piloted by Abhinandan.
In the dog fight Indian MiG-21 Bison shot down the one of the F-16s of the enemy attack party. The radar shows that the F-16 fell on the Pakistan side of the LOC.
Air Vice Marshal RGK Kapoor said, “The IAF has more credible information and evidence that is clearly indicative of the fact that PAF has lost one F-16 in the air action on Feb 27, 2019. However, due to security and confidentiality concerns, we are restricting the info being shared in the public domain.”
The images shows clearly the Pakistani F-16 suddenly disappearing after being shot down by Abhinandan.
It is confirmed that two parachutes came down in the area, one of which was that of Abhinandan’s. Surprisingly, the Pakistani establishment has not revealed till date the identity of the F-16 shot down by Abhinandan.
The IAF revelation comes amid Pakistan’s denial that it had lost a F-16 jet in the combat.
