Kozhikode: Mini Harikumar, state coordinator of VHP Mathrushakthi opined that women should come up as entrepreneurs instead of demanding protection. State coordinator of VHP Mathrushakthi said that women should be capable of protecting others. Mini Harikumar was delivering the keynote address during the inaugural session of the Sthree Shakthi Samgamam in Chinmayanjali Hall, Kozikode. The society is comprising of both men and women. Women empowerment does not mean that woman becomes like men nor women aping the men. Women empowerment can never be achieved by organising ‘night walks’ with police escort. Women have to get involved in the social service works. Their involvement should be ensured in the endeavours for the country’s development. A safe and developed country can only originate from safe and developed homes. Home should not turn an arena of competition or fights between men and women. A common resource both men and women do have in any part of the world is ‘time’. Women should learn to utilise the time in the most scientific manner and should be ready to come up utilising the time with strength, capability and will power. It will bring women empowerment.
Mini Hairkumar said that we can see several noble models, for women empowerment, in the history and culture of Bharat.
