Indian Overseas Forum celebrated International Day of Yoga simultaneously at Dammam and Riyadh on June 21st. Hon. PM Narendra Modi Ji’s video message was played in both programs. Also, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe Ji’s, Rajya Sabha MP and Padma Shri Awardee Nouf Marwaai’s special video message was played in Riyadh program. Both the venues were graced by senior embassy officials of India and other dignitaries of different nationlaties. The distinguished Chief guest and guests of honor in Riyadh were – Anil Nautial Ji (Councellor and Head of Community Welfare Wing, Indian Embassy, Riyadh), Madhuka Wickramarachchi Ji (Minister Counsellor and Head of Chancery, Srilankan Embassy, Riyadh), Dr. Raghda AlFarhan (Senior Clinical Specialist, Ministry of Health, Riyadh), Ali Saud Al Ojeman (Retd. Brigadier General Riyadh Police), Abdullatif Al Abdullatif (CEO Alabdullatif Industrial Investment) and Vandana Pendharkar Ji (Senior Yoga Practitioner).
Whereas, at Dammam Dr. Hifzur Rahman (First Secretary PIC and Education, Indian Embassy, Riyadh), Ravi Jaikhani (Country manager of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering), Thirunvakkarasu (Ex. Chairman and current elected member of International Indian School, Dammam), Abdullah Manjeri (Ex Chairman of International Indian School Dammam), Parthasarathi (Art of Living Yoga Practioner), Shruthidhar Soni (Professional Yoga trainer) adorned the stage.
Indian Overseas Forum also felicitated the guests at both places. Japanese, Mexican and Saudi citizens also shared their experience of yoga. At Riyadh 1261 and Dammam 1218 people participated in the mass yoga session respectively.
