Shri Chandran Unnithan(55) who was injured in stone pelting done by CPM activists passed away after being admitted in critical care at a private hospital in Thiruvalla. He was gravely injured in the protests. The CPM goons resorted to stone pelting from their office against the peaceful protest conducted by Sabarimala karmasamithi against the deception of communist government in Sabrimala at pandhalam.
Several policemen were injured in the protest. Karma Samithi activists alleged that the fights started when CPM activists pelted stones at them. Three CPM activists have been arrested in relation with this incident. Karma Samithi activists blocked road at Panthalam demanding the arrest of all aggressors.
Vijayamma is the wife of Chandran Unnithan. Daughter: Akhila Son in Law: Ayyappan.
He was working as a salesman at a bakery food manufacturing company.
The primary post-mortem report of Chandran Unnithan, says that he died due to his head injury. He was injured on the front and middle of his head. There are more than one deep wounds on his head. Though he is a heart patient, the doctors have not identified a cardiac arrest as the cause of death. The report was submitted by police surgeon Deepu and was handed over to the investigation team.
While addressing a press conference Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said earlier that Chandran Unnithan died due to heart attack.
